Birshen Kemal started her career in 2000, when she started to appear in various music videos. She also appeared as a feature, body double, and as a backing dancer.

After graduating in Theatre/Drama and Dance Studies from Roehampton University, she landed her first lead in a short called ’Writing on the wall’. After that she played the lead in several other films, and theatre productions. Although she has worked as a backing dancer, and a model, her aim is to continue working as an actress, and pursue a career in the Film and TV industry.

She enjoys going to the gym and keeping fit. Her hobbies are dancing and sport. In her spare time she likes to lead drama and dance projects/workshops in schools for children with autism, behavioural problems and those who are gifted and talented.
